Rainbow Circus CIC is a community interest company based in the South West of England and operating out of our beautiful circus space in Unit 2E, Delaware Industrial Estate, Gunnislake. PL189AR. Formed in February 2025 and run by a team of Directors and Members who all believe in the power of circus and who would like to be able to facilitate more access to the magic of circus within the local area and across the South West of England. We are passionate about social circus and are creating an inclusive environment where all humans can access what we have to offer. My name is Rosie Rainbow, and I'm here to share my love of Circus with you all! Choosing to run away with the circus as an adult completely changed my life and the joy it brings me is second to none. My dream is to share this passion with as many people as I can, and ensure that this inclusive, exciting, explorative practise is accessible to all those who would benefit from it (which in my opinion is everybody!). My classes are inclusive and tailored to the individual(s) taking part in order to ensure that everyone can access and benefit from the content, enjoy their experience individually (and as part of a group if applicable) and excel in this exhilerating art form we call "Circus".
I firmly believe that Circus practise is a form of Ergotherapy. Ergotherapy improves the physical, cognitive, sensory, psychological, social skills and abilities of a person through meaningful and purposeful activities. It is a person-centered health profession that aims to increase the level of independence and participation in daily life activities and to improve health and well-being.* |
As a disabled person myself; I credit my Circus experience and the space that created for me to explore and express myself with the beginning of my healing journey from significant trauma. I love sharing this experience with others and empowering them to take their first steps on this magical journey. With a truly person-centred approach, I create pockets of inclusivity and tap into each individual in order to offer top-quality circus tuition. I am available for Aerial tuition (lyra/hoop, silks/tissu, trapeze, pole, sling, lollipop, mini hoop & rope/corde Lisse); ground-based circus skills tuition (hula hoop, juggling, diabolo, poi, spinning plates, balance skills, physical theatre and much more) and also fire performance tuition during the 'off-season'. I am happy to facilitate workshops, small group & private tuition as well as corporate and team-building events. I love entertaining and educating within schools, youth clubs, for home education groups and also at private events such as birthday parties, weddings and many other special events.

Hello everyone, my name is Kelly. I am an appointed Director of Rainbow Circus CIC from July 2026. Some fun facts about me:
I enjoy nature, making crafts, singing, dancing, performance and walking my dog in the endless Cornish landscape.
I have experience with working alongside individuals with additional needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder, physical disabilities and behaviours which challenge. As well as currently working alongside Access Theatre Company CIO a theatre group for adults with disabilities. By combining all my passions and knowledge I am able to give a totally unique experience and outlook and be inclusive to all needs.

Ezra has been part of the circus since its creation. You'll often find her high in the sky on her stilts or in the hoop, blowing bubbles or even juggling fire & knives! She is passionate about young people joining in, finding their confidence & having fun and that's why she loves co-ordinating the Youth Circus Project.
She started performing in community shows, but soon escalated to stages like the Cornwall Tattoo Convention. Come and catch her at our Youth Circus Sessions or out and about at community events and find out what she's learning this time! |

The key thing about Rainbow Circus is that it's very pure at its core. We don't do this "for the gram", we genuinely enjoy bringing colour and joy to people in a world that can sometimes be really grey and disheartening. I'm proud to be part of this CIC where we always aim to brighten people's day, nurture people's self-confidence and most importantly, make them feel included.
I always have strongly lived by the belief of not letting others define you and being freely unapologetically yourself. I always encourage the people who meet us to do the same. Wear that glitter, dance in public and never let anyone tell you that you're too old to go on the swings! That's what I want to bring to the world with Rainbow Circus. Lexi can usually be found around and about in beautiful costumes, or up in the air on an aerial hoop (often as a mermaid!). Gemma Insley

Hi, I'm Ruben! I joined the Rainbow Circus because I like climbing stuff and doing cool things upside-down. I help out with workshopping when I'm not at University studying Art and am training to be a Pole Instructor.

Tegan
My name is Tegan, and I have been training in aerial since 2021 and recently joined Rainbow Circus in May 2025. My favourite disciplines are static trapeze and silks. However, I enjoy all aerial equipment! Being a part of Rainbow Circus has opened up incredible opportunities not just to grow individually but also to collaborate with other performers. I love all the energy and creativity that has come from working in this group that shares ideas, builds trust, and creates something unique, for example, performances. And just by working with these amazing and talented people by my side, it has encouraged me to push myself and become better every day. But overall, I enjoy working with Rainbow Circus because it has helped me gain more confidence in myself over time and puts me outside of my comfort zone.
Sophia Buckingham-Wood
I'm Sophia, I am a young mum diagnosed with ADHD. Circus has opened up my eyes to a new fun way of doing sport, focusing on tasks, and meeting new people. I want to be a part of the CIC to support other non-neurotypical people in the Tavistock area.
Sophia is a regular at all our events, if you can't spot her then look to the sky and follow the trail of bubbles! Hesperia
